Acupuncture for all - a safe, effective and drug-free health solution for the whole family.
Practictioner Story

Practitioner Story

During my first acupuncture treatment, I felt so good that I thought “I want to help everyone feel this terrific!” I had injured my knee skiing, and despite months of biomedical care, the knee had

not healed. A co-worker with a similar knee injury and another friend with severe endometriosis both suggested acupuncture because they had experienced excellent results. I had marked improvement in my knee after my initial visit, and fully recovered after a few more visits. During this time I learned the breadth of what acupuncture can treat and became fascinated with how many ancillary benefits could felt from the treatments—for example, deep relaxation, increased energy, more even emotions, better sleep and digestion. I changed my life to practice this amazing medicine, and every day I enjoy solving the puzzles that people's health issues present.

Women, infants and children are some of the people who can most benefit from the strengths

of Traditional Chinese Medicine and who historically respond so well to the treatments. Often western medicine does not have a solution to the problems these patients face, or it involves pharmaceuticals and other interventions the patient would prefer not to use during these times

of life. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine are safe, effective and drug-free. It fosters physical and emotional wellness to promote longevity and vitality. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been shown to effectively treat a wide array of both chronic and acute issues, and also works preventively so that minor imbalances do not become major health issues. Many times women will see the results and send the men in their lives for treatment as well.

When providing health solutions for my patients, my experience as an attorney allows me to bring analytical and problem solving frame of mind to diagnosing and treating patients' issues. I am able to see the big picture in the constellation of details that make up the person. I understand the pressures people face at work and at home. I take time to listen to patients in a calm, judgment-free atmosphere. In order to help people understand their bodies, I convey complex information

in a clear, straightforward way. This education empowers patients to make the best decisions possible about their health on a daily basis. I meet people wherever they are, and we develop a working relationship where the goal is better health for them. I try to give them information and techniques they can use daily to improve their health. I see the positive results of acupuncture

and Traditional Chinese Medicine daily in my practice, and I also witness the collaborative and synergistic effects of Western and Chinese Medicine working together. I think integrative medicine is the future of health care and enjoy working with my patient's other health care providers as part of a team to bring them the best of all available medical disciplines.

Acupuncture is one facet of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a system of medicine that has been practiced for over 4,000 years. Because diagnosis and treatment is specific to each individual, the patient gets unique solutions for better health. Many common conditions, both acute and chronic, can be helped with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and acupressure/ massage. Acupuncture can also improve quality of life in people with serious or chronic conditions, such as cancer patients experiencing side effects from Western medical treatments. Effective on its own, it can also be used in conjunction with other treatment modalities and western medical care. Because of the above, Traditional Chinese Medicine is the fastest growing, most in-demand form of integrative health care.
