Do you ever feel like you are approaching your relationship, your children, or your best friend with a sense of knowing what you want, expect, or need from them? What happens if the other person disagrees with your agenda for the relationship? The most important thing we can do in a relationship to foster intimacy is often the hardest -- we must continually commit ourselves to being present and curious with the other person without any agenda.
